You’ll want to get your schedule lined up early for a year of major events
2020 is going to be a legendary year for digital advertisers all over the world. There are a ton of fantastic conferences that are very much must attend, so you’ll want to plan early and get your schedule lined up for the year.
For every digital marketer worth their salt, digital advertising conferences present a number of excellent opportunities. First and foremost, these conferences are concentrations of bleeding-edge, high-performing superstars in the industry, the people who are doing all the things you’ll be doing in a year or two. Listening to their stories and learning from their successes (and failures) can be a huge boost to your career.
Digital marketing changes quickly—a lot more quickly than many other industries—which makes keeping your skills sharp more difficult than ever. These conferences help you keep your finger on the pulse of the market.
Another great reason to go to the big digital advertising conferences each year is to network not just with the pros, but with everyone. You never know when you’ll meet your next business partner, your next stellar employee, or your next boss. These conferences concentrate these professionals in a single area and give you the chance to advance your career.
Finally, many of these conferences have workshops where you can see new technologies and incredible new ideas played out in real time. You can learn from your peers and make exciting new discoveries that you can implement at work as soon as you get back to your computer. Learning tactics and best practices is just one of the many benefits of going to these conferences, but being able to compare what you’re doing with your peers and get feedback? That’s priceless.
